An emergency care coordination platform helping healthcare providers manage patient referrals between facilities through connected digital workflows.

The project

Medarr is an emergency care coordination platform built to make patient referrals between healthcare facilities more structured and efficient.

When a patient needs care that another facility can provide, the referral process can involve phone calls, fragmented communication and delays. Medarr brings that process into a connected digital workflow.

Healthcare providers can share the relevant case information with receiving facilities, while hospitals can review a referral and accept, redirect or decline it based on their ability to receive the patient.

The product is being developed with African healthcare systems in mind, with the long-term goal of creating a reliable digital coordination layer between patients, healthcare providers and hospitals.

What we built

Ostanet Labs is part of the team building the technology behind Medarr, from the core referral workflows to the interfaces that make the system practical for healthcare teams.
